This is a closed promotional opportunity open to regular, non-probationary San Bernardino County Probation Department employees only. The San Bernardino County Probation Department is recruiting for the Business Systems Analysts II (BSA II) role. BSA II's evaluate existing business processes/systems/workflows and develop business applications to enhance delivery of departmental services. Assignments include studies in workflow and technology integration; projects requiring research, analysis, and solution development; interacting with all levels of technical, administrative, and professional staff as well as leading a team and assigning project tasks to team members. This position will lead project status meetings, identify gaps, assess the needs of the department and research new, up-to-date solutions. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Two (2) years of experience performing IT business systems analysis or information systems analysis, including four (4) of the following areas: requirements gathering, end user acceptance testing, process mapping, workflow diagramming, documenting business rules, feasibility studies, and cost/benefit analysis. Be sure to indicate all qualifying experience in the work history section of your application, as well as in responses the supplemental questionnaire. -AND- REQUIRED EDUCATION:

Thirty (30) semester (45 quarter) units of completed coursework from an accredited college or university in information technology, computer science, business administration or a closely related field. A list of coursework is required unless you have a bachelor's degree in a qualifying field. Education Substitution: One (1) year of additional qualifying experience may substitute for the required education. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience solving technical issues, interacting with end users and program developers, and acting in a lead capacity for other technical staff, in addition to providing infrastructure support. In addition the ideal candidate will have experience utilizing Guard 1, Mugshot System, DocuSign, SQL, Network DMZ, and Fusion Inventory Management.
