Digital Gift Officer

The Digital Gift Officer (DGO) plays an essential role in Loyola University Maryland's Advancement team by leveraging digital platforms and tools to engage, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors. This position focuses on building relationships with a diverse portfolio of prospects, primarily through digital communications, to increase philanthropic support for the University. The DGO will operate with a digital-first mentality of donor engagement. The DGO will utilize email, social media, video, and text to engage and solicit donors. This role manages several hundred donors, with a goal to generate new prospect visits via videoconference each month. The DGO will create and implement digital engagement plans and use technology to deliver quick content on the correct channels. The DGO will: Donor Engagement and Cultivation:

Develop and implement innovative digital strategies to engage potential donors, including email campaigns, social media outreach, virtual events, and personalized digital communications Partner with Loyola's Advancement Services team to help identify and qualify new prospects through digital research and data analysis. Maintain regular, meaningful contact with a portfolio of donors to foster long-term relationships. Solicitation and Stewardship:

Craft compelling digital fundraising appeals and campaigns targeting specific donor segments. Partner with University leadership, deans, and faculty to tailor personalized digital outreach to prospects Utilize digital tools to track and report on donor engagement and fundraising outcomes. Ensure timely and personalized stewardship of donors, acknowledging gifts and providing updates on the impact of their contributions. Data Management and Analysis:

Utilize Loyola's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to manage donor information, track interactions, and update records. Analyze digital engagement data to inform strategy and improve donor outreach efforts Monitor and report on key performance metrics, adjusting tactics as needed to achieve fundraising goals Collaboration and Coordination:

Work closely with the Vice President of Advancement and other advancement staff to align digital fundraising efforts with overall campaign strategies. Coordinate with the marketing and communications team to ensure cohesive messaging and branding across all digital platforms Participate in regular team meetings to share insights, strategies, and progress updates. Professional Development:

Stay current with trends and best practices in digital fundraising and donor engagement. Attend relevant training sessions, workshops, and conferences to enhance skills and knowledge. Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role. Education Required: Bachelor's degree Work Experience: 1 - 3 years of related work experience. Describe Required Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in digital fundraising, marketing, or related field required. Proven track record of successful digital fundraising campaigns and donor engagement initiatives. Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies and tools, including social medial, email marketing, and CRM systems. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communications skills; ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights; strong organizational and project management skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Ability to support the mission and values of a Catholic Jesuit education, as well as University goals for institutional diversity.
