Utilizes software applications and supporting systems or documentation to ensure scheduling accuracy and expediency. Provides front office support for the practice. Schedules all surgeries and procedures for patient admissions/appointments, maximizing allocated spaces. Works with physicians and staff to prioritize admissions and maximize space based on medical needs. Validates insurance coverage to ensure accurate billing. Identifies patients needing financial counseling to ensure proper payment. Informs patients of services not covered by insurance or requiring prior authorization and guides on next steps. Qualifications Minimum: High School Diploma/GED One year of front office or clerical experience Basic computer skills, including Outlook and Windows-based programs Strong organizational skills to maximize productivity Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Preferred: One year of surgical scheduling experience Experience with Electronic Medical Records, especially Cerner Overview At Dignity Health, we bring passion into action daily.
