At Dignity Health in Prescott, Arizona, United States, we are looking for a professional to join our team. The job involves: Responsibilities: Uses outstanding customer service skills to schedule surgical procedures, perform pre-admission patient consultations and insurance authorizations. Utilizes software applications, and/or other supporting systems or documentation to ensure scheduling accuracy and expediency. Provides front office support for the practice. Schedules all surgeries and/or procedures for patient admissions/appointments maximizing allocated spaces. Works in conjunction with physician and/or staff to prioritize admissions/appointments and maximize allocated space based on medical needs. Validates and captures primary, secondary and tertiary insurance coverage to ensure accurate billing. Identifies patients in need of financial counseling to ensure appropriate payment of services. Identifies services not covered by the insurance plan or requiring prior authorization; informing patients of courses of action as appropriate. Qualifications: Minimum: High School Diploma/ GED One year prior front office or clerical experience required Basic Computer skills, Outlook, window-based programs Ability to organize work so that productivity and effectiveness are maximized Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Preferred: One year surgical scheduling experience Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred; Cerner strongly preferred Overview: At Dignity Health, living our values means bringing passion into action every day.
