About The Opportunity

AnthroMed Education is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to support students in a center-based special education program during an FMLA leave. The role begins on the first day of professional development and continues through mid-December, with the potential to extend into a full-year position based on district needs and flexibility.

This opportunity provides meaningful work with a wide age range of students (ages 3-26) who are eligible for specialized services. The clinician will play a vital role in supporting student progress, collaborating with staff, and connecting families to valuable community resources.

Responsibilities

• Deliver school social work services as outlined in students’ IEPs (approx. 8 students)
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff
• Connect families with local mental health and community service agencies
• Provide consultation and support to staff working with students with moderate to severe needs
• Maintain required documentation and contribute to IEP development and reviews
• Support students across developmental levels and disability categories
  
  

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• Full or Limited License in the state of Michigan (LMSW or LLMSW)
• Eligible for or currently hold School Social Work Approval in Michigan
• Experience working with students receiving special education services preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Passion for supporting diverse learners and their families
