Overview
Director, Presale Operations (American Heritage) — The Standard The Standard is seeking a Director, Presale Operations to oversee the strategic direction and management of the Presale business area. You will ensure that RFP and Proposal responses are accurate and timely, collaborating with stakeholders across Underwriting, Actuary, and Sales to manage workflows and deliver competitive, comprehensive proposals. Lead the Presale team operations from intake and quoting to RFPs, testing, peer reviews, and new technology to support the presale process. Experience with Life & Supplemental Health products is highly valued. Responsibilities
Oversee presale operations, including intake, quoting, RFPs, testing, peer reviews, and implementation of new technology to support the presale process. Coordinate with key stakeholders across departments to manage workflows and deliver accurate, timely proposals. Resolve cross-department conflicts to ensure timely and high-quality proposal responses. Develop and manage a talent pipeline; monitor workflow, manage performance, and implement robust training programs. Manage budgets and resources to meet goals. Track and analyze data on capabilities, capacity, and output; create reporting to monitor customer trends; act as an expert resource to senior management and product owners. Required Qualifications
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred (experience may be considered in lieu). EXPERIENCE: 8+ years of progressively responsible leadership roles with people management; experience in quoting/RFPs and managing a complex team is required; experience with Life & Supplemental Health products is required. Strong knowledge of process improvement and change management theories and techniques. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with Salesforce reporting and MS Office Suite; Power BI experience preferred; Salesforce and Workday experience preferred. Key Behaviors of a Successful Candidate
