Design Director

McLean, VA . The candidate will lead cross-functional teams to deliver innovative user experiences and ensure design governance and platform optimization. Pay Details
Rate Range: $56/hour to 64/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Design Director responsibilities
Lead the creative vision and design strategy for Salesforce platform initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs. Mentor and manage a multidisciplinary design team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. Architect user-centric experiences by designing intuitive workflows, wireframes, and prototypes using Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS). Collaborate with cross-functional teams including executives, developers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable and visually compelling Salesforce solutions. Ensure design governance and compliance with accessibility, security, and corporate standards through regular audits and reviews. Drive platform innovation by evaluating emerging Salesforce technologies and integrating AI, automation, and mobile-first solutions. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in design leadership, with a strong focus on Salesforce platform design and development. Proven expertise in Salesforce Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Experience Cloud, with hands-on experience in technical and functional design. Strong background in data visualization, change management, and user-centered design, supported by relevant Salesforce certifications (e.g., UX Designer, Platform App Builder).
