Shop Attendant
Brookland Golf Park is seeking Shop Attendants to operate the Golf Shops in a positive manner while ensuring guests and members alike are given prompt, courteous service at the sales counter, over the phone, and on the sales floor. Note: This job posting will be open until all positions are filled. Essential duties and responsibilities include: Meet and greet customers and members in a positive and courteous manner Provide excellent service while processing fees, selling merchandise, while on the phone, or when making reservations for tee times Learn and use names of members and frequent golfing non-members Learn about the inventory in the shop and be able to present it to customers Clean and vacuum the golf shop in order to present the shop in a clean and professional manner Refold clothing and straighten merchandise on a continual basis Minimum and desired qualifications: Education: No education requirement Experience: Age 16 or older Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to provide a level of customer service that meets or exceeds customer and employer expectations Ability to communicate effectively in a courteous and professional manner Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to lift 25 pounds Ability to relate and work effectively with people from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, racial and ethnic backgrounds Embrace and engage in cultural shift toward Continuous Improvement Desired Qualifications: Previous experience with touch screen point of sales systems Previous retail sales experience Previous experience working in golf course operations Possess CPR, First Aid, or AED certifications Age 18 or older for alcohol sale at Brookland Golf Previous experience working with people from various cultural, socioeconomic, racial and ethnic backgrounds Fluency in Spanish, Hmong, Russian, Somali, Laotian or Vietnamese language(s) The City has determined that a criminal background check and/or qualifications check may be necessary for certain positions with this job title. Morning and evening hours are available seven days per week. Work shifts are from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Anticipated Salary: $12.21 - $15.91 hourly.
