$50,000.00/yr - $68,000.00/yr My client is a well-established freight forwarder providing end-to-end logistics solutions. They are committed to delivering exceptional service, compliance, and efficiency for our customers worldwide. They're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Customs Compliance Specialist to join our team and support our import operations. Responsibilities
Prepare and submit accurate and timely customs entries for air and ocean import shipments. Classify products according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Partner Government Agencies (PGA) regulations. Coordinate with carriers, customs officials, and clients to resolve clearance issues and ensure on-time cargo release. Monitor inbound shipments from arrival to final delivery, communicating proactively with customers regarding status updates and potential delays. Maintain accurate documentation and records for compliance audits and reporting. Provide clients with guidance on import requirements, compliance best practices, and duty/tax considerations. Collaborate with internal operations, customer service, and sales teams to deliver seamless import solutions. Stay current with changes in customs regulations, trade programs, and compliance requirements. Qualifications
13 years of experience in customs brokerage, entry writing, or international trade preferred. Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, HTS classification, and PGA requirements. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. What they Offer
