Principal UX Product Designer – Walmart Business What you'll do
We are looking for a creative, hands-on Principal UX Product Designer who can coalesce large systems into an intuitive, usable whole, raise the bar for craft and culture across the Design organization, and lead the team in setting a future vision. You will work with multiple stakeholders to turn limitations into opportunities and help drive design across business, product, and engineering partnerships. You will make an impact by Designing best-in-class product experiences with a focus on craft.
Partnering with business partners, UXR, product managers, and engineers to create insightful design solutions.
Balancing business goals with user needs.
Rapid prototyping and experimentation in a fast-paced environment.
Multitasking across projects and adapting to changing priorities.
Creating scalable experiences in partnership with the Design System team.
Championing Design Thinking throughout the business.
Collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional partners.
Staying up to date with latest trends, in and out of retail.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 5 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
Option 2: 7 years’ experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area.
Preferred qualifications Design certification (for example, IDEOU - Foundations in Design Thinking Certificate)
Driving product development in a user experience area
Master’s degree in UI/UX Design, Interactive and Visual Design, Product Design, or related area
Related industry experience (retail, supply chain, eCommerce, healthcare)
Experience creating inclusive digital experiences and knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards and accessibility best practices
Masters degrees in Architecture, Artificial Intelligence, Business, Cognitive Science, or Computer Science
