Overview
We are looking for a
Software Platform Architect Services Tech
(for a major OEM) to lead the design and evolution of the automotive services domain within a next-generation software platform. This role will focus on defining and architecting scalable, service-oriented solutions that enable interoperability, cloud integration, and advanced in-vehicle digital services across domains. The candidate will ensure seamless deployment of platform services such as authentication, time synchronization, diagnostics integration, and OTA (over-the-air) communication, building the foundation for a robust service ecosystem. Define and document the overall platform architecture for the Services Tech domain, covering in-vehicle and cloud-integrated services. Lead the architectural roadmap for services such as authentication, identity management, OTA updates, logging, and service discovery. Ensure service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles are consistently applied across domains (powertrain, ADAS, infotainment, connectivity). Collaborate with systems, middleware, and cloud teams to align service frameworks with vehicle E/E architectures and business needs. Establish KPIs for service platform reliability, security, and scalability. Drive integration of service platforms with AUTOSAR Adaptive, POSIX systems (Linux/QNX), and cloud frameworks. Ensure compliance with standards for safety, security, and interoperability (ISO 26262, ISO/SAE 21434, ASPICE). Lead cross-functional reviews and align stakeholders on long-term service platform strategies. Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field. 8+ years of embedded software design/development experience, ideally with exposure to service-oriented architectures. Strong knowledge of software architecture and modeling (UML/SysML). Expertise in service frameworks and protocols (gRPC, SOME/IP, DDS, REST APIs). Experience with cloud connectivity, authentication, and OTA services. Familiarity with middleware integration in AUTOSAR Classic & Adaptive, Linux, and QNX systems. Strong understanding of diagnostics integration and vehicle data logging. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications
Systems-level understanding of vehicle E/E architecture and inter-domain interactions. Experience in Agile/Scrum environments. Knowledge of ASPICE, V-model, and functional safety/security standards. Exposure to platform services for time synchronization, identity/authentication, and secure communication. Next Steps
