As an Application Engineering Intern, you will: apply adhesives using various dispensing systems in a hands-on lab setting, test automotive adhesives according to OEM and international standards, write clear and detailed lab reports documenting procedures and results, troubleshoot adhesive applications and support product development activities, contribute to lab organization through 5S and safety initiatives, and gain practical experience in adhesive technologies, testing, and lab operations. What makes you a good fit? A current junior or senior undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering or a related field, interest in or experience with robotics and automation, lab experience gained through coursework or previous internships, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting. The anticipated start date for this internship is January 5, 2026, and the anticipated end date is December 11, 2026. This position requires you to be available to work ~20 hours/week in the spring and fall semester and 40 hours/week in the summer. Recruitment for our 2026 internships starts in late August 2025 and runs through early March 2026 or until all our positions are filled. If selected to move forward in our recruitment process, you will receive an email from our talent acquisition team. If a position you applied to is filled by another candidate, you will receive an email from our team alerting you that the position is closed. The salary for this role is $22-$25/hour. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range.
