Senior Project Manager / Project Executive - Mechanical Insulation (Aurora, IL; Chicago, IL) Project Manager / Estimator - Experienced Hire - Mechanical Insulation. Luse Contracting Group is a multifaceted construction services provider based in Aurora, IL. We are a fifth-generation family business focused on a values-driven culture and long-term growth. We are the oldest mechanical insulation contractor in the Midwest, known for excellence and integrity with an emphasis on continuous improvement. Where you come in:
You will be responsible for estimating, securing and executing mechanical insulation projects across the greater Chicagoland area while fostering deep, trusted relationships with clients. You will be a critical member of our team and an extension of our brand to clients and the industry. Once established, you will be responsible for $3 to $6 million+ in annual sales and you will aim to be the “easy button” for our clients.
Responsibilities
Direct and manage project development from inception to closeout ("cradle to grave").
Define scope, timeline and goals for each project and estimate required resources and participants.
Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and subcontractors, guiding accountability and performance.
Attend industry events, conferences, and training sessions.
Collaborate with other Luse service lines and geographies to grow the overall business.
Experience & Education
Minimum of 7 years of experience in the mechanical insulation industry.
B.S. in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Annual estimating and project management experience exceeding $5 million.
Skills
Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
Managerial, communication and problem-solving abilities.
Presentation, sales and negotiation capabilities.
Financial acumen and accurate forecasting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and computerized estimating software.
Field take-off skills.
Compensation & Benefits This position is salaried ($90,000 - $120,000) with an established bonus plan. Other benefits include vehicle mileage or allowance, medical, optical and dental insurance, 401(k) participation, profit sharing, life insurance, generous vacation, holidays and sick pay.
