Construction Project Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The initial projects will be 2 multi-family buildings ( one 40 units, the other 80 or so units) The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all phases of the construction process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage project budgets and schedules to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate and supervise construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Manage relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to safety regulations and building codes.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
  • Facilitate communication among project stakeholders to keep everyone informed and engaged.
  • Ensure quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle and address any issues promptly.
  • Manage resource allocation effectively to optimize project efficiency and productivity.
  • Implement change management processes as needed to adapt to project developments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management principles, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, ensuring high standards of performance.
  • Familiarity with risk management practices and contract negotiation techniques.
  • Understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Bilingual (English/Portuguese) ar real nice to have .
