Overview

Data Designer II gathers and translates business data extraction and consumption requirements into technical specifications. This role ensures proper data ingestion, curation, and consumption. This role clarifies solution designs that support business strategies and analytical initiatives, especially when requirements are unclear. The role documents, prototypes and validates current and future state data flow processes. This role provides subject matter expertise by identifying relevant business processes affecting data curation and explaining their impact on data. Responsibilities

Gather and translate business data extraction and consumption requirements into technical specifications. Ensure proper data ingestion, curation, and consumption. Clarify solution designs that support business strategies and analytical initiatives, especially when requirements are unclear. Document, prototype, and validate current and future state data flow processes. Provide subject matter expertise by identifying relevant business processes affecting data curation and explaining their impact on data. Leverage very large datasets and work with big data technologies as appropriate. Education & Experience

Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate, and/or; 3+ years of relevant experience from a business administration, statistical, mathematical, scientific or financial background Qualifications

Expert level professional role, with in-depth knowledge in own domain and working knowledge of related areas Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills; fluent in one or two programming languages Ability to work autonomously on a range of tasks and potentially coach others Experience leading projects with moderately complex risk and resource requirements; may lead end-to-end processes or functional programs In-depth experience with very large datasets and familiarity with big data technologies Familiarity with visualization tools Preferred Qualifications
