This role is part of Advanced Concepts and Enterprise Engineering (ACE), supporting Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. The team fosters innovation and drives engineering workflows of the future, shared solutions and standards, simplicity and lower costs, and manufacturable design. As part of a hardworking team of specialists, you will directly support Blue Origin's development teams working to prototype new, state-of-the-art technologies and systems needed to advance human spaceflight. Responsibilities include general fabrication, maintenance, and operation of mechanical systems where you will apply your technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to support innovative projects, systems, and critical infrastructure. In addition, you will work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting functions. You will perform operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment and assist in determining actions to remedy malfunctions. Furthermore, you will assist in the construction, testing, and checkout of test equipment and use manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable space flight. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Work with engineers to execute design concepts, provide hands-on support for ease of assembly, and support development tests. Follow work instructions for assembly tasks and steps for electrical installations. Safely work with hazardous systems, containing chemicals and/or high pressure. Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in electrical field. Experience with pressurized system safety. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Must be physically able to: Climb ladders and stairs, and work in small, restricted areas. Lift and carry 25 lbs. Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of experience in aerospace or related fields. Working knowledge of LabView and/or Speedgoat. Knowledge of drawing review, scheduling systems, work order systems, inventory and various issue tracking systems. Working knowledge of a variety of tube/fluid applications including GN2, GHe, hydraulics and cryogenics. Experience with pneumatic systems, propellant loading and off-loading systems Experience operating in clean rooms. Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts.
