Responsibilities

Oversee daily publishing of content on 49ers.com and LevisStadium.com, including uploading videos, articles, podcasts, and photo galleries via the NFL CMS.

Craft compelling headlines, sub-headlines, and metadata using SEO best practices to drive traffic and engagement.

Act as lead quality controller, reviewing all written and visual content for accuracy, brand alignment, and editorial polish.

Maintain the editorial calendar, coordinating content timing with internal departments, partners, and fan engagement strategies.

Collaborate with the social and international teams to develop UK- and MX-targeted digital content, including lifestyle features and localized storytelling.

Post and optimize video content on the 49ers official YouTube channel; manage live stream titles and uploads of press conferences and other branded content.

Research and write lifestyle-driven features (fashion, music, social, etc.) for web and YouTube audiences.

Serve as an on-camera guest as needed across team channels and appear as a regular guest or host on 49ers podcasts, fan features, and digital video segments.

Host and support the production of team podcasts and occasional live digital content.

Report on weekly content performance; support monthly content reporting and data-driven recommendations.

Support complex page builds for initiatives like Foundation campaigns, community events, and digital contests.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Excellent editorial judgment, attention to detail, and ability to write and edit quickly and cleanly.

Strong understanding of digital publishing workflows, SEO, and content optimization best practices.

On-camera and/or hosting experience preferred but not required.

Confidence in communicating clearly and diplomatically with cross-functional teams.

Highly organized and capable of juggling multiple projects and deadlines.

Knowledge of football and the San Francisco 49ers is a must.

Education and Experience

3–5 years of experience in digital media, journalism, or related field.

Experience with CMS platforms (NFL CMS preferred).

On-camera hosting or podcasting experience strongly preferred.

Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and basic design tools.

Familiarity with tools such as Adobe Analytics, Tableau, Parsley, YouTube, and Microsoft Office.

Journalism or broadcast production background preferred.

Knowledge of AP style.

Travel Up to 15% of travel time expected for the position.

Compensation $32-33/hour + Overtime potential
