Overview
The QuickBooks holistic search team is looking for a hands-on SEO and GEO Staff Marketing Manager to own and grow the organic search channel for QuickBooks. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports, ideal for a subject matter expert who thrives on executing strategy and driving measurable results. You will be the key driver for all things SEO, responsible for developing and implementing a roadmap that increases relevant traffic and conversions. Your core responsibilities will include the full SEO and GEO lifecycle: conducting keyword research and competitive analysis, performing technical audits, optimizing on-page elements, and partnering with writers to shape a high-performing content strategy. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and marketing partners to get initiatives prioritized and launched, ensuring SEO best practices are embedded in our projects. The right candidate will have 4-6 years of direct SEO experience with a proven track record of improving organic performance for established websites. You must have strong analytical skills and be proficient with major SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog). Success in this role requires excellent project management skills and the ability to operate independently to achieve business goals.
Responsibilities
Help develop and create new holistic search media vision and strategy with a focus on Holistic Search approaches that are grounded in data with creative insights.
Present strategic SEO concepts, plans, and POVs to teams and stakeholders on a regular basis.
Partner with the other QuickBooks Holistic marketing team to manage all aspects of the QuickBooks Holistic Search program, including initial planning implementation, monitoring, optimization, analysis and reporting.
Help drive QuickBooks Holistic Search strategy & execution plan that meets or exceeds revenue growth targets, new customer acquisition, and efficiently driving ROI positive results
Understand and employ SEO techniques such as organic content strategy, on page optimizations and technical SEO.
Contribute to innovation, learning and test plan aid in the development/optimization of landing pages.
Help analyze search marketing campaign performance and user behavior to derive marketing insights and make recommendations to improve performance using internal and external data sources (e.g. Brightedge, Botify, Google Search Console, Adobe Analytics, and other in-house analytics tools).
Proactively implementing holistic search strategies for SERP savings, and help lead testing ideas and insights for holistic search.
Work closely with leaders from our analytics, research, agency, search engine, and other channel teams to uncover customer insights, develop key metrics and drive measurement and analysis.
Evaluate and identify new, innovative opportunities to prioritize and drive fast experimentation and learning.
Conduct competitive research, identify business implications & share findings.
Qualifications
6+ years of SEO experience, with at least 4 years focused on technical SEO.
Proven ability to develop and scale a data-driven SEO strategy, including optimization for AI-powered search and GEO. [Generative engine optimization]
An entrepreneurial “test and learn” mindset, with a passion for staying ahead of the latest search marketing trends and algorithm shifts.
Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to present strategies and results clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
Experience with A/B testing, landing page optimization, and customer segmentation.
Skilled at prioritizing tasks and managing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
A positive, results-driven attitude and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
Direct experience with mid-market B2B SEO campaigns is a strong plus
Experience managing SEO and content agencies or vendors is a plus.
BA/BS degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
