Our portfolio of technology helps power our world ---come join our team and see how YOU can make a difference. **Job Description: ****Job Summary **Reporting to the SVP Finance, the Director, Corporate Tax and Treasury is responsible for: * All aspects of the Company’s tax compliance, tax planning and accounting for income taxes * Working with a third-party provider to prepare and review MPS’s quarterly and annual tax provision including all related analysis and support * Completion of federal, international, and state income tax returns * World-wide tax planning / offshore tax structure management and compliance * Monitoring emerging tax developments and assessing their impact on the business * All aspects of Treasury and Risk Management including oversight of investment policy, banking and cash optimization, insurance coverages and policy renewals **Essential Functions *** Tax Accounting + Responsible for accounting for income taxes (ASC 740) including all SEC 10-Q and 10-K disclosure requirements + Responsible for working with external auditors to ensure timely completion of the audit and all audit requirements + Ensuring that appropriate internal controls are in place over accounting for income taxes * Tax Filings + Responsible for completion of federal, state and international income tax returns including all related analysis and support + Oversight of the tax returns for the Company’s international subsidiaries + Responsible for sales, use and property tax requirements + Responsible for audit defense of federal and state income tax and state and local filings * International tax management and compliance + International tax planning and compliance, including check-the-box, foreign currency, and foreign tax credit planning issues + Responsible for transfer pricing and management fee arrangements, including comparable searches and annual coordination with Finance & Accounting and business leaders to update the functional analysis + Assistance with international tax audits + Ex-patriot tax equalization payments + VAT * Treasury and risk management + Responsible for oversight of banking and investment policy + Responsible for optimizing cash positions across regions with global tax strategy-based cash transfers + Managing worldwide cash positions and investment returns + Responsible for insurance coverage management, broker relationships and policy renewals * General management + Coordination with external service providers for the planning, review and completion of various research and compliance projects as well as participation in tax leadership roundtables, lobbying and outreach for MPS taxation positions + Oversight of subsidiary statutory compliance in partnership with Legal and International Accounting teams + Coordination with the Corporate Finance & Accounting department and other members of the Tax & Treasury group regarding accounting and tax issues and compliance including MPS Foundation, etc. **Qualifications *** Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Accounting * Master’s Degree in Business Taxation / CPA preferred * 10 years of related experience with at least 5 years in Tax at a Big 4 public accounting firm * Broad exposure to general tax and accounting principles * International tax experience required * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Must have a demonstrated hands-on approach and success in working in a team-based environment **Benefits *** Attractive compensation * Supportive work environment where your ideas count, and you can thrive in a diverse culture * World of opportunities for your personal and professional development **Location *** Kirkland, WashingtonMPS offers a comprehensive benefits package.
