Contribute to the architecture definition, design, layout, and qualification of electronic circuits. Co-design electronic circuits with photonic integrated circuits. Design high-speed drivers, TIAs, and control systems for optical communication applications. Target specific high-speed communication products. Qualifications
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical work experience. Background in high-speed analog and mixed-signal integrated circuit design, with fundamentals such as circuit noise and linearity, linear amplifiers, low-noise TIAs, AGC circuits, linear equalizers. Experience in testing and debugging analog and mixed-signal high-speed ICs as well as experience with physical design and verification (passive component design using industry-standard tools such as Cadence Virtuoso and HFSS, EMX). Nice to have
Familiarity with CMOS design and manufacturing; knowledge of SiGe and BiCMOS. Experience with silicon photonics and/or optical communications. Publications and a record of innovation. Familiarity with digital flow (synthesis, static timing, place and route), particularly in the context of state machines for mixed-signal control systems.
