This Point of Care Med Tech Specialist position is responsible for coordinating the Point of Care system for selected laboratories across the market. We depend on the knowledge and skills of our medical technologists when it comes to evaluating medical lab tests to determine what's happening with our patients. What you'll do: Works with the division director of laboratory services and hospital lab leadership to provide strategic innovation, determine technology solutions, and implement within the division. Organizes technical advisory teams to develop and implement new tests collaboratively, ensures revisions of discipline policies are communicated to all parties, and distributes regulatory updates and requirements for review. Promotes growth and development of TAC team members' technical knowledge base across the division through the sharing of educational opportunities and assignment of other appropriate tasks. Prepares and submits discipline related QA reports and as required by the individual hospitals according to established time schedules working with leadership to improve patient care. Identify regulatory/accreditation standards and work with laboratory administration as required to prepare for inspections and assist the labs through inspection or audit processes. Assists all sites with training and on-going development of all analytical and preanalytical personnel. Other duties as assigned by management. What you'll need: Bachelor's degree in Medical Lab Science or Medical Technology, or related field defined by CLIA 4 years clinical lab experience Certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist by ASCP Valid drivers' license Join us at CommonSpirit Health, and become a part of our faith-based health system.
