ASRC Federal Field Services is seeking an Outbound Freight Specialist in support of our Vance AFB Base Operations Support Contract Located in Enid Oklahoma.
Responsibilities:
Receives and reviews outbound surface and air shipment documentation, assigns freight classifications and ratings, determines transportation priority and selects mode of shipment based on characteristics and classification of commodities to be shipped.
Computes shipping cost estimates and determine availability of transportation funds.
Maintains DD Forms 616 obligation records and transportation cost invoices and charges as incurred by fiscal year.
Ensures tonnage is distributed equally to motor freight carriers providing similar service and transit times.
Maintains carrier tenders and carrier performance files and reports.
Prepares and maintains commercial bills of lading, truck manifest and cargo manifest for regular commodities, hazardous materials and deployed materials.
Must be certified in storage, handling, packaging and shipment of hazardous materials in accordance with dangerous good regulations for surface and air shipments.
Requests route orders and receives air clearance when necessary, including shipment of hazardous materials.
Receives processes and manifests cargo according to the deployment schedule of events during exercises and contingencies. Inputs and receives information from cargo movement and tracking systems.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident due to contract requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age or older
Must be certified in storage, handling, packaging and shipment of hazardous materials.
Must be able to lift 40lbs

Forklift license
