Performs in-house servicing and repair of company products at the repair site or service center. Diagnoses mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures using established procedures. Performs maintenance, testing, and calibration of repaired products. Prepares reports on product failure trends and serviceability issues. May communicate with field technicians for failure diagnostics or repair details, generally without direct client contact. Responsibilities
Conducts hands-on technical analysis of devices and components to determine root causes of issues observed during testing, manufacturing, or in the field. Performs electrical fault isolation and physical failure analysis for root cause diagnosis. Documents and communicates results to the engineering team, including significant findings with photographs or samples. Identifies root causes of customer-returned product failures using electrical test equipment and analysis techniques. Records failure analysis data accurately in databases and reports findings effectively to management internally and externally. Troubleshoots rejected analog and digital assemblies down to component level following established procedures. Reads, understands, and follows test process instructions (TPIs). Works on semi-routine assignments with occasional deviations; may require overtime and weekend work as needed. Performs general assembly and disassembly of electronic equipment using basic hand tools. Qualifications
Minimum 6 years of experience as a manufacturing electronic test technician. Strong experience with electrical test equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc. Ability to read schematics and follow test process instructions. Moderate written and verbal communication skills. Proven troubleshooting skills for detailed root cause analysis. Ability to lift 20-25 pounds. Additional Information
