Job Purpose:
Performs in-house servicing and repair of company products at the repair site or service center. Diagnoses mechanical, hardware, software, and systems failures using established procedures. Performs maintenance, testing, and calibration of repaired products. Prepares reports analyzing product failure trends and serviceability issues. May communicate with field technicians for failure diagnostics or repair details, generally without direct client contact. Responsibilities: Conducts hands-on technical failure analysis of devices and components to determine root causes of issues encountered during testing, manufacturing, or in the field. Performs electrical fault isolation and physical failure analysis for root cause diagnosis. Documents and communicates results to the engineering team, including photographing or sampling significant findings. Identifies root causes of customer-returned product failures using electrical test equipment and principles. Inputs failure analysis data into databases, communicates findings effectively, and reports results to management internally and externally. Troubleshoots rejected analog and digital assemblies down to component level. Follows established procedures on routine work, with occasional deviations for non-routine tasks. Reads, understands, and follows test process instructions (TPIs). Available for overtime and weekend work as required, in addition to minimum 40 hours/week. Performs general assembly and disassembly of electronic equipment using basic hand tools.
Education and Experience:
Minimum 6 years of manufacturing electronic test technician experience. Strong experience with electrical test equipment: Power Supplies, Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, etc. Ability to read schematics and follow test process instructions. Moderate written and verbal communication skills. Proven detailed root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills. Ability to lift 20-25 pounds.
