Job Description: Oversee and contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of the Bank's Azure and Azure Virtual Desktop environment to ensure performance and reliability. Design and implement appropriate monitoring, logging, and analysis tools and solutions to evaluate the performance of computing environments, maximizing end-user experience. Govern and manage the deployment process for application packages and desktop images, ensuring security requirements, timely issue remediation, and compatibility testing. Regularly explore cost-saving measures through vendor recommendations, industry research, and monitoring environment usage. Perform cost-benefit analysis and assist management in decision-making. Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions. Provide oversight and management of MS licensing and M365/cloud products, such as Intune, SharePoint Online, Exchange, and OneDrive. Identify, design, and implement automation to improve efficiency and reduce risk. Oversee the technical aspects of projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Guide other engineers by assigning tasks, mentoring, and reviewing work to ensure successful deliverables. Prioritize and plan environment changes to minimize impact on the Bank and its users. Develop and implement technical strategies that align with the company's goals, policies, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. Represent the team in Bank-wide planning, design, and scoping sessions for solutions impacting Azure, desktops, PCs, Microsoft products, or packaged applications. Knowledge of networking protocols, TCP/IP, and automation tools such as PowerShell or Ansible.
