Senior Business Analyst & Subject Matter Expert
The Credit Risk Technology Team is responsible for delivering Counterparty Credit Risk Management software solutions. These tools allow salespeople, traders, operations staff, and risk officers to manage Citis exposure to financial institutions, governments, and corporates that trade with Citi. The team builds and maintains software that provides a complete platform for our users: limit monitoring, exception management, stress testing analysis, and escalation workflow capabilities are some key areas of focus. Our users rely on the system for an integrated view of trades, collateral, market data, across many dozens of sources. We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Business Analyst & Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. In this role, you will combine traditional business analysis skills with deep subject matter expertise in [Specify Area of Expertise e.g., Credit Risk, Finance, Regulatory Reporting]. You will be responsible for eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and validating business requirements, while also providing expert guidance and knowledge to stakeholders and the development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both business processes and technology, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects. Responsibilities: Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements using various techniques, including interviews, workshops, and document analysis. Create detailed business requirements documents (BRDs), use cases, user stories, and process flow diagrams. Translate business requirements into technical specifications for the development team. Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure that solutions meet business requirements. Facilitate communication and collaboration between business stakeholders and the development team. Manage multiple teams of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions). Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end results. Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues. Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards. Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals. Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sources. Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firms reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards. Qualifications: 15+ years of relevant experience Extensive experience in business analysis. Strong understanding of business analysis principles and techniques. Deep subject matter expertise in Finance and Credit Risk Monitoring. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience with Agile development methodologies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) Education: Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience Masters degree preferred Certifications such as CFA, FRM are preferred Job Family Group: Technology Job Family: Applications Development Time Type: Full time Primary Location: Rutherford New Jersey United States Primary Location Full Time Salary Range: $176,720.00 - $265,080.00 In addition to salary, Citis offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
