Overview:
We are seeking an ambitious and talented
Software Engineer
to join our Applications, Technology, and Innovation group. The team supports Field and Global Financials operations and projects in
PeopleSoft 9.x , leveraging
API integrations, AWS (Lambda, S3, API Gateway), Java, automation , and other tools for file/document transfers. The role will focus on
critical integrations
between
PeopleSoft Financials, PeopleSoft HCM, Workday, Salesforce , and other enterprise applications, with a future roadmap to transition to Workday.
Candidate Will:
Analyze, design, build, test, implement, and modify software enhancements and/or new applications. Create
technical documentation, design and architecture deliverables
for complex integrations. Troubleshoot and optimize application performance, integrations, and SQL queries. Collaborate with IT partners and users to define requirements, enhancements, and modifications. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support
P1 issues
outside of normal business hours.
Responsibilities:
Analyze, design, build, test, and implement software enhancements and new applications. Support and enhance integrations between
PeopleSoft Financials, HCM, Workday, Salesforce, and other enterprise platforms . Leverage
Integration Broker
and
API/web service technologies (REST/SOAP)
for real-time and batch integrations. Develop in
Java, SQL, and scripting languages
to build scalable and maintainable solutions. Optimize SQL queries and troubleshoot performance issues in large-scale ERP environments. Provide production support, including off-hours support for critical issues. Complete
SDLC documentation, technical design specs, and architecture diagrams
for all lifecycle phases. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions. Mentor and support junior engineers in coding, troubleshooting, and integration design.
Qualifications:
BS degree in Engineering or related field
(MS in Engineering with 3+ years' experience also considered). 5+ years of Software Engineering experience
within a medium-to-large IT organization. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills , with proven ability to resolve complex integration and performance issues. 5+ years' experience in Integration technologies
(API, web services, Integration Broker, file-based). Proficiency in Java, SQL, XML, and scripting languages
(JavaScript, Python, or equivalent). Highly skilled in SQL
with ability to write and optimize complex queries; strong database knowledge. AWS experience
(Lambda, API Gateway, S3) for integration and automation use cases. Knowledge of
ERP/SaaS Financial modules (AP, AR, GL, Billing, PO)
strongly preferred. PeopleSoft technical experience (PeopleCode, App Engine, SQR, IB) is a plus. Experience with
software development methodologies
(Agile, Hybrid, Waterfall). Strong understanding of
SDLC practices , n-tiered architecture, and basic network concepts. Ability to create
process flow diagrams, design documents, and solution architecture . Strong communication skills: able to explain technical details to non-technical users and business processes to technical teams. Experience in
mentoring and leading junior software engineers .
