The Medtronic Digital, Analytics, Insights, Media and Experience (DAIME) group within the Global Communications and Corporate Marketing (GCCM) function is looking for an Insights Strategist to join our integrated team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of research, strategy, and culturesomeone who can find the signal in the noise, transform it into a strategic narrative, and inspire teams to act on it. You'll work across disciplines (paid/earned media, measurement, analytics, creative) to ensure that every campaign is grounded in a clear understanding of the business and brand objectives, audience, and the cultural context in which the audience lives. You will be responsible for translating data into meaningful strategies that unlock audience-driven insights to drive marketing program plans and fuel our storytellers. You will be responsible for the framing and structuring of deliverables that include competitive analyses, brand positioning, brand strategy, market research, and brand planning. The ideal candidate will have experience examining audience and market insights as the basis for marketing and communications strategies. You must possess strong facilitation skills and be a self-starter with a proven track record of leading insights strategy for integrated marketing programs. Key Responsibilities Audience Strategy + Define and segment audiences using tools like Global Web Index, MRI-Simmons, and proprietary platforms. Analyze behavioral, attitudinal, and transactional data to build rich audience profiles rooted in demographic, psychographic, and behavioral insights. Translate audience insights into frameworks that inform creative and media activation. Collaborate with media, measurement/analytics, and creative teams to ensure audience strategies are actionable and measurable. Lead audience journey development and coordination, including persona outputs and process improvement. Insights Strategy + Lead the development of insight-driven strategies that align with Medtronic business and brand goals and objectives. Design and synthesize primary and secondary research to uncover cultural, category, competitive, and audience trends. Translate complex data and qualitative/quantitative research into clear, compelling narratives that inform brand positioning, messaging, and content/creative strategy. Develop strategic deliverables such as creative briefs, brand positioning frameworks, and insight reports. Partner with marketing and creative teams to ensure insights are embedded throughout the campaign lifecycle. Collaboration & Innovation + Be accountable for program conception i.e. turning audience and category insights into actionable strategic direction that serve as the starting point for marketing and communication activations. Present insights and strategies to internal stakeholders and agency partners with clarity and confidence. Contribute to innovation initiatives by testing new tools, methodologies, and research approaches. Mentor team members and oversee the quality of their strategic deliverables. Collaborate with cross-functional team members in a matrixed organization. Qualifications and Skills Intellectually curious, social-savvy, and data-driven, with strong attention to detail and accuracy. The ability to not only deploy solutions but also to convey findings and make them relevant to business partners. Perspective and experience using AI tools; working with analysts and paid media teams is a plus. Experience deriving insights from research and developing brand narratives that are driven by data. 6+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, social media, or market research, with experience and passion for exploring new platforms and partners. Experience working with research providers such as MRI-Simmons, Mintel, Comscore, YouGov, WARC; and audience profiling tools such as Global Web Index and MRI-Simmons (as previously mentioned). 5+ years working experience analyzing primary research and brand health data. Working experience of Microsoft Excel and expertise of Microsoft PowerPoint required. Experience in healthcare, technology, or related discipline is ideal. Highly motivated, self-directed, and thrives working remotely or in person (depending on location). Solution-minded with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Bachelor's degree or higher. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD): $115,200.00 - $172,800.00. This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
