Strategist

We’re looking for a Strategist who thrives at the intersection of brand strategy and communications planning—someone who can see both the forest and the trees. This role is equal parts thinker, storyteller, and collaborator. You’ll lead strategic development across brand platforms, integrated campaigns, and always-on content initiatives for a range of clients. You’ll bring clarity to complex problems, unlock creative potential with smart insights, and help shape work that earns attention, drives conversion, and builds long-term brand value.

What You'll Do

Lead the development of integrated strategy from brand foundations to go-to-market plans. Translate business objectives into strategic opportunities and actionable briefs for creative teams. Craft compelling narratives rooted in audience insight, cultural trends, and behavioral data. Develop customer journeys, messaging frameworks, and channel strategies across paid, owned, and earned. Collaborate closely with creative, media, and production teams to bring ideas to life. Present strategic thinking to clients with clarity, confidence, and persuasion. Mentor junior strategists and contribute to building a strong strategic culture at Trade School. What We're Looking For

2-4 years of experience in brand, content, or comms strategy. A portfolio of work that demonstrates strategic leadership across campaigns and content. Strong grasp of audience research, segmentation, and consumer behavior. A balance of brand-thinking and channel fluency—able to zoom in on the message and zoom out to the media. Excellent writing and storytelling skills—you can make decks sing and strategies stick. Comfortable working across industries and able to quickly ramp up on new categories. Curiosity, empathy, and a love for making things that matter. Bonus Points

Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Midjourney, Perplexity) to enhance research, concepting, or workflow efficiency. Familiarity with social listening, analytics, and tools like GWI, Simmons, or YouGov. Proven ability to build and manage relationships with digital and social platforms (e.g., Meta, TikTok, YouTube) to stay ahead of trends and innovations. A POV on the changing role of brands in culture—and the role strategy plays in shaping it.
