Overview The Project Manager ensures project goals are achieved while maintaining strong relationships with team members, clients, and trade partners. This role is responsible for overseeing schedules, budgets, safety, quality, and the overall work environment. It requires proactive planning, leadership, and collaboration with the project owner, superintendent, and engineer to deliver successful outcomes. Take ownership of projects, making decisions that support profitability and maintain relationships. Mentor and develop project engineers, interns, and peers. Identify, mitigate, and report project risks. Create and maintain project schedules and weekly look-ahead schedules. Manage change orders, submittals, RFIs, and QA/QC processes. Prepare and present detailed monthly project status updates. Communicate frequently with contractors, subcontractors, and owners’ representatives. Perform other duties as needed to support project success and broaden skills. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred. Proven experience in construction management or a similar leadership role. Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and budget management skills. Comprehensive knowledge of construction materials, processes, and quality control methods. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Experience with heavy/highway, bridge construction, grading, drainage, paving, and related scopes preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including MS Project); Ability to multitask across multiple projects and work effectively with diverse teams.
