We are seeking skilled Mechanics to join our team in building cutting-edge concrete pumping equipment. You will be responsible for assembling components for concrete pump trucks or trailers, using your expertise to interpret blueprints and perform various mechanical assembly duties on prototype units. Utilizing hand and power tools, you will play a crucial role in constructing each unit.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints to assemble components for concrete pump trucks or trailers.
- Perform a variety of related mechanical assembly duties on prototype units.
- Utilize hand and power tools to build each unit.
- Work from Build Book instructions on the computer to assemble all required parts for scheduled assembly projects.
- Follow engineering drawings, bills of materials, and request parts from the Parts Department as needed.
- Lay out truck details per engineering prints on a job-by-job basis.
- Perform final assembly of all units, including hoods, electric, lights, and stickers to customer specifications.
- Install hydraulic lines and fill them with oil in preparation for required testing.
- Prepare trucks for sub-frame assembly by disassembling, measuring, repositioning parts, and re-assembling units following procedures.
- Test the assembled parts or products to ensure they function properly and are of good quality.
- Comply with workplace health and safety policies, safe work practices, and procedures.
- Maintain tools and work space in good condition.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Experience with hydraulics, brake line, chassis work, and blueprint reading.
- Previous experience with heavy mechanical equipment.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Comfortable with lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to learn blueprints and schematics.
- Basic math knowledge.
- Possess own tools.

- Experience navigating computer systems for parts ordering and blueprints.

Work Environment
Work the first shift from 6:00am to 2:30pm in a state-of-the-art facility in White Bear Lake. The clean, loud work environment involves new manufacturing with multiple bays for assembly and sub-assemblies. With 35-40 mechanics in the area, you'll work alongside a team in a facility featuring a weld shop, paint shop, and warehouse. Navigate through eight different buildings, each separated by an outdoor yard.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of White Bear Lake, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
