Primary Responsibility / Summary Operates tractor-trailers and straight trucks to transport goods between company facilities and vendor locations. Responsible for safely loading, securing, unloading, and documenting deliveries with minimal assistance. Ensures consistent adherence to safety protocols, demonstrates punctual attendance, and delivers exceptional service with every route. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Conducts daily vehicle inspections and completes pre- and post-trip reports using the Geotab app on a company-issued phone. Ensures full compliance with company safety procedures, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and DMV standards; reports unsafe conditions promptly. Loads and unloads goods at each stop per route manifest, ensuring safe handling and weight distribution; completes all deliveries within the designated time frame (30–40 minutes per stop). Secures all loads using appropriate safety equipment and load restraints to prevent shifting or damage during transit. Accurately completes and submits required documentation, including manifests and supply checklists; captures supporting photos as required. Operates all equipment, including lift gates and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently, following posted road signs and speed limits at all times. Maintains a clean, professional appearance and represents the company with a courteous, customer-first attitude; wears company-issued safety vest, footwear, and gloves at all times. Demonstrates dependable attendance, punctuality, and willingness to work assigned shifts and routes. Operates truck and equipment safely and efficiently following company policies and procedures, observing all posted road signs, traffic laws, and speed limits. Maintains a valid California Class A driver’s license and an active DOT Medical Certificate; driving record must meet company insurance requirements. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for up to 8 hours per day. Education & Experience 2-3 years of Class A driving experience preferred. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Good communication skills with a pleasant customer service attitude. Ability to work without supervision. Spanish / English bilingual preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid CA Class A driver’s license.
