We are currently seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art imaging equipment and collaborate with a talented group of healthcare professionals.

\

As a CT specialist at DMC Harper University Hospital, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic CT exams, verifying patient identity, and reviewing medical records. You will also interview patients to obtain medical history, assess risk factors, and explain procedures, including side effects, risks, benefits, alternatives, and follow-up instructions.

  • Set up equipment, acquire images as per script, review images, make initial observations, document exceptions, and communicate data to radiologists.
  • \
  • Recognize and respond to medical emergencies appropriately.
  • \
  • Provide physician-prescribed post-care instructions to patients.
  • \
  • Participate in process improvement activities within the radiology practice, including quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis, and patient satisfaction.
  • \
  • Offer imaging education to residents, student technologists, and new employees.
  • \
  • May perform duties of a Radiologic Technologist, as needed.
  • \
      Requirements:

      1. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (R) or Computed Tomography (CT).

      \

      2. Successful completion of American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training.

      \

      3. One or more years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology or advanced certification in Computed Tomography (CT).

      \

      4. Analytical and clinical skills necessary to determine the most age-appropriate method of providing radiographs specific to patient physical ability and/or limitations.

      \

      5. Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to deal effectively with and instruct patients who may be under physical/emotional stress.

      \

      6. Technical knowledge necessary to operate equipment, including specialized equipment and computers.

      \

      7. Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment, handle multiple/changing priorities.

      \

      8. Knowledge and understanding of American College of Radiology requirements for accreditation.

      \

      9. Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of patients.

      \

      10. Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate and utilize all types of imaging equipment and supplies.
