We are seeking a skilled Backend Software Engineer to work on greenfield projects in a fast-paced fintech environment. In this role, you will design and implement backend systems from scratch, build scalable APIs, and contribute to high-performance, production-ready services. You will collaborate closely with a small, talented team that values speed, ownership, and technical excellence. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact while working remotely, with potential for extension or conversion. Accountabilities Design and build backend services from architecture to deployment. Develop RESTful APIs and high-concurrency systems to handle real-world scale. Solve complex engineering problems and prioritize tasks effectively. Collaborate with other engineers to deliver maintainable, high-quality code. Contribute to a culture of ownership through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentoring. Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and performant in cloud-native environments. Requirements

3+ years of experience in backend software development. Proven experience building greenfield systems (not just maintaining legacy code). Proficiency in Golang or Python. Experience with cloud-native architectures such as AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker. Strong understanding of REST API design, distributed systems, and concurrency. Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving skills, technical curiosity, and ownership mindset. Benefits
