Shipping Clerk
We are seeking a dedicated Shipping Clerk for the second shift (2pm-10:30pm) at our large metal finishing facility located in Costa Mesa, CA. This role involves ensuring the timely and efficient shipping and receiving of products, maintaining inventory control, and providing excellent customer service. The position offers a dynamic environment with opportunities for overtime once trained. Responsibilities Ensure production schedule meets customer due dates. Assist in processing production orders. Perform quality assurance activities throughout all stages of production. Receive and inspect customer products for processing, including greeting customers at the service counter and receiving shipments from carriers like UPS and FedEx. Conduct purchase order verification and visual inspection for part damage or previous processing. Verify part quantity and stage receiving shelves. Maintain part identification and traceability. Ensure all paperwork is complete and maintained as required by internal procedures. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and workflow of the receiving area. Seek opportunities to learn new skills and cross-train in various departments. Essential Skills Bilingual in English/Spanish. Professional communication skills for customer interaction via phone, email, and in-person. Basic knowledge of Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. Valid driver's license. Strong customer service skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in shipping and receiving, packaging, material handling, inventory control, data entry, and inspection. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
