A/R Deductions Specialist (Contract-to-Hire - Hybrid)

We are seeking a detail-oriented A/R Deductions Specialist to join our Accounting team on a contract-to-hire basis. This role will focus on all aspects of Accounts Receivable related to deductions for a dedicated group of customers, which may include major retailers such as US Foods, Walmart, Publix, Whole Foods, and Albertson's. Working closely with customer service, sales, and the OS&D department, this position ensures that sales are properly validated, recorded, and paid. The specialist will investigate, manage, and resolve all potential cash and discount discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner according to policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, requires minimal supervision, and is highly skilled in problem-solving and reconciliation. Strong communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential. Location: El Segundo, CA (Onsite 4 days per week, Remote 1 day) Key Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of Accounts Receivable and deduction resolution related to trade spend allowance, compliance, returns, pricing, and OS&D. Research, reconcile, and dispute erroneous deductions. Collaborate with brokers, sales, logistics, credit, and internal teams to resolve payment discrepancies. Process adjustments and accurately match credits to outstanding deductions. Prepare reports and conduct analysis in Excel as needed. Update account data in Oracle and support audits. Meet KPI-related goals for deduction resolution and overall AR performance. Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Assist with special projects and cross-train on other AR functions. Requirements: Qualifications: Associate degree or higher preferred. Minimum of 5 years of Accounts Receivable experience, ideally within a CPG company. Strong analytical and reconciliation skills. Experience with deductions management required. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Oracle and/or SAP experience is a plus. Robert Half works to put you in the best position to succeed.
