Accounts Receivable Specialist

The market is heating up for Accounts Receivable Specialists. Companies, small and large, are looking for skilled Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialists for temporary and temporary to full-time opportunities. As an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist, you should have experience with the entering, posting and reconciling of batches, researching and resolving customer A/R issues, preparing aging reports, placing billing and collection calls, maintaining the cash receipts journal, as well as updating and reconciling the sub-ledger to the G/L. Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist candidates should have good attention to detail and strong Microsoft Excel skills. Resolve billing discrepancies with customers promptly. Communicate with internal teams to address and correct billing issues. Payment Processing

Record and apply customer payments to their respective accounts. Reconcile payments received with outstanding invoices. Credit Management

Evaluate and set credit limits for customers. Monitor customer credit balances and follow up on overdue payments. Cash Application

Apply cash received to the appropriate customer accounts. Reconcile discrepancies between payments and invoices. Aging Reports

Generate and analyze accounts receivable aging reports. Identify and address overdue accounts and potential risks. Refunds and Adjustments

Process customer refunds or adjustments when necessary. Ensure proper documentation and approval for any adjustments. Reconciliation

Reconcile accounts receivable sub-ledger with the general ledger. Investigate and resolve any variances between the two. Reporting

Prepare and analyze AR-related reports for management. Provide insights into cash flow, aging, and collection performance.
