Bookkeeper
Minimum of five years' work experience in general accounting and payroll processing, and minimum of Associate's Degree in accounting or finance required. Must be proficient with Quickbooks and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in non-profit accrual accounting preferred. This position is responsible for Payroll Processing and Accounts Receivable and requires attention to detail and a high degree of organizational ability. This hourly position will work approximately 40 hours per week Monday through Friday. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: ensuring accurate financial records, timely invoicing, processing payments, and managing employee payroll processes. Accounts Receivable Process incoming payments, ensuring accurate invoicing and billing Monitor accounts receivable aging Generate and maintain accurate customer invoices Reconcile customer accounts to ensure all payments are recorded and accurately applied Communicate with customers and staff. Payroll Process twice monthly payroll ensuring compliance with applicable law and company policies Develop and maintain professional relationships with key payroll system partners General Accounting Assist with month-end closing procedures. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions Responsible for financial reporting as needed or as a back up to the CFO. Knowledge, Skill and Experience Required: Minimum of five years of experience in an accounts receivable role Must be extremely organized. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines. In-depth understanding of accounts receivable processes and payroll systems. Proficient in accounting principles and Human Resource basic fundamentals. Proficient in Quickbooks and Microsoft Office Suite High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics. Must be committed to understanding and conducting assigned work in a manner that is consistent with the organization's mission, values and core principles. Must be able to forge mutually respectful relationships while also ensuring compliance with policies.
