The Front Office Night Auditor ensures seamless overnight operations by balancing guest service with financial accuracy. This position serves as the main point of contact for guests during the night shift, while also preparing and reconciling the hotel's daily financial reports. With professionalism and attentiveness, the Night Auditor protects both the guest experience and the hotel's interests in alignment with The Umstead's standards of excellence. Key Responsibilities

Welcome, register, and process guests promptly while maintaining accuracy in guest records. Oversee overnight guest services, addressing needs and resolving issues with grace. Perform nightly audit procedures, reconcile accounts, and prepare reports for the Finance Department. Maintain awareness of room status, rates, and availability to support revenue management. Ensure compliance with credit, billing, and cash-handling procedures. Monitor lobby presentation and supervise the Overnight Cleaning Team. Uphold safety, security, and emergency procedures at all times. Deliver courteous, professional service to every guest, reflecting Forbes Five-Star standards. Job Requirements

Previous front office or night audit experience preferred; luxury hospitality background a plus. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with hotel systems (Opera, POS, HotSOS) preferred. Ability to work independently and handle overnight responsibilities with confidence. Commitment to teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional guest service. Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays. Benefits

Is fully conversant with the property management system Opera and Microsoft Office Suite, and Gold Key Is able to operate switchboard, fax, key equipment, credit card machines and printers, hotel alarm systems, and other Front Office equipment. Has 1-2 years of Luxury or Full-service hotel experience.
