PLEASE NOTE: THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN A SECURED JAIL FACILITY. High school diploma or GED; associate's degree in social services, mental health, psychology, office administration or a related field preferred; five years of experience in increasingly responsible administrative support work in related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience in compiling, tracking, analyzing data, and researching eligible programs for inmates preferred; proficiency in Microsoft applications to include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Must have excellent oral and written communication abilities and skills. Must be able to successfully complete a polygraph examination. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check, and education/degree verification required. This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Criminal Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services Security Policy (CJIS)" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent criminal background check. This position is considered Critical Safety Sensitive and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing. The medical use of marijuana for this position is prohibited. Duties
Provide detailed administrative support to the Inmate Rehabilitative Program section of Chesterfield County Jail for programs related to substance use and mental health services. Assist with grant reporting by compiling, tracking and analyzing data for inmates at Chesterfield County Jail, partnering with the Department of Mental Health Support Services, Drug Court, Community Corrections and Chesterfield Fire and EMS for eligible programs, and researching and tracking current and potential curriculum aimed at recidivism reduction. Perform other work as required. This position is a part of an approved Career Development Plan (CDP) and offers career progression opportunities and salary incentives, as funding permits, based on performance, qualifications, and experience.
