Health Care Technician I
The Leisure Activity Technician (LAT)/Health Care Technician I (HCTI) is responsible for staffing Main Street and the Lighthouse during operational hours and any other approved scheduled on and off unit activities. Provide basic nursing and personal care needs, provide close monitoring, and ensure resident safety by properly securing unit doors when entering and editing the unit. The LAT/HCT must be able to recognize changes in resident behavior and be familiar with the plan of care of each assigned resident. The LAT/HCT must be able to document observed resident behavior and care rendered written completely and accurately. The LAT/HCT functions under the direct supervision of a RN/LPN. This position is considered mandatory, which means employees are required to report to work during adverse weather and emergency conditions. Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center (LNMTC), located in Wilson, NC, is a state-operated certified Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). With a staff of about 520, LNMTC provides support to approximately 200 residents with complex medical needs and/or co-existing neuro-cognitive disorders.
