Medical Assistant - Jacksonville, FL
Join our team as a Medical Assistant in our urgent care clinic, where you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care. You will be responsible for a range of medical assistant duties including collecting patient demographics and intaking patients based on their symptoms. Responsibilities
Collect patient demographics and accurately enter them into the electronic health record system. Perform patient intake procedures based on symptoms and medical history. Assist with medical records management using electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Take and record patient vitals efficiently. Provide excellent customer service at the front desk. Support healthcare team with various medical assisting tasks as needed. Essential Skills
Proficiency in medical terminology and medical assisting practices. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Ability to manage medical records and patient information accurately. Strong customer service skills in a healthcare setting. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Additional Skills & Qualifications
1+ year experience in a fast-paced clinic environment. Preferred: Medical Assistant diploma or certification. Experience working with healthcare teams in a clinical setting. Work Environment
This position is based onsite at a primary care clinic, where you will see between 20 to 30 patients daily. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm. Our supportive work environment includes benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401K plan, and holiday pay. Employees enjoy six paid holidays and accrue eight hours of PTO for every 400 hours worked. Upon permanent employment, receive nine paid holidays and fifteen days of PTO, with opportunities for pay raises based on performance.
