Accounting Clerk
Under supervision, the Accounting Clerk performs data entry and follows established procedures working in the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, project accounting, inventory, records management, and other areas as required. This position provides backup support as needed to the Account Technicians, Customer Service Representatives, and other Departments on established tasks within the scope of their expertise. Tasks may include: performing payroll functions; preparing, reviewing, and/or reconciling quarterly and annual federal and state payroll tax reports; auditing or preparing accounts payable invoices for payment; performing assessment processing duties; providing backup for other accounting staff; and assisting customer service and other departments with administrative tasks as needed. Minimum Qualification: High school diploma or GED plus two (2) years of accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, general ledger, or bookkeeping experience; college level accounting credits may substitute for part of the experience required. Paid Time Off (PTO)
begin accruing over 3 weeks per year, and that increases with tenure. 1st year = 6.5 hours per pay period 2nd year = 9.0 hours per pay period 5th year = 11.0 hours per pay period 10th year and beyond = 13.0 hours per pay period Paid Holidays - 9 observed holidays plus 3 floating holidays.
