Payroll Specialist
Responsibilities: Ensure accurate and timely processing, printing, and distribution of payroll checks, following company policies and legal requirements. Manually enter timecards and gather time data from multiple timekeeping systems. Determine necessary data changes, including working union and employee type. Process payroll for 600-700 employees, including multiple weekly payrolls for union employees and biweekly for non-union employees. Set up new hires and enter informational changes in eCMS. Manage working dues deductions for union employees and process terminations in eCMS. Prepare and send weekly leave balance reports and file tax returns and liabilities. Calculate prevailing wage rates for compliance with wage determination projects. Prepare and submit monthly union benefit reports. Manually calculate garnishment deductions and set up deductions in eCMS. Handle 401k recap and biweekly submission. Respond to employee payroll-related inquiries and ensure completion and maintenance of all payroll records. Process PSL payout and show up time hours for Local 26 employees. Assist with audits. Qualifications: 2-3 years of payroll experience. Experience with union payroll and prevailing wage. In-house payroll experience and reconciliation skills. Union experience, certified payroll reporting experience, and payroll tax experience are highly desirable. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $45.00/hr.
