Accounts Receivable Specialist - Contract Role

Are you detail-oriented and passionate about financial accuracy? We're seeking an Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist to join our team in Watertown, Wisconsin. This contract role offers a hybrid/remote work environment, ideal for professionals within driving distance of Watertown. Key Responsibilities

Generate and deliver invoices via mail, email, or customer portals. Follow up on past due invoices and manage customer inquiries or complaints. Resolve delinquent accounts and escalate uncollectible cases appropriately. Maintain strong customer relationships and clear communication. Research and reconcile invoices against agreements or manual records. Collaborate with account managers and leadership on escalated issues. Perform summary billings and prepare custom invoices using Excel and reporting tools. Issue credit notes and secure necessary approvals. Maintain delinquency rate below 5% and ensure unapplied cash is cleared monthly. Support ad hoc projects and continuous process improvement initiatives. Work effectively with both local and remote team members. Required Skills

1+ year of collections experience. 2+ years in accounts receivable or a related field. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and general computer systems. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with advanced accounting software. Familiarity with specified systems (details available upon request). Work Environment

Contract Position Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
