Accounts Receivable Specialist
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for processing all incoming payments and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts. You will assist the Accounts Receivable team with reporting and data analytics of incoming funds. Responsibilities
Process invoices for customer accounts. Apply cash receipts appropriately within the accounting system. Support monitoring of delinquent accounts and make collection calls. Serve as the primary backup for the Accounts Receivable Lead during medical leave. Investigate problems from customers and sales associates and drive resolutions. Process credit card and electronic payments from customers. Assist employees and customers with questions related to AR services. Review and evaluate customer history for terms and set up new customer accounts. Investigate and release customer orders from hold to allow orders to ship. Monitor and manage the Accounts Receivable email inbox. Essential Skills
3+ years of full cycle accounts receivable experience Proficiency in cash application, billing, and collections Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently Strong communication skills Familiarity with Dynamics 365 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associates degree or equivalent education preferred Two or more years of related accounting experience and/or training Experience with ERP or accounting software, MS Dynamics 365 preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and as a member of a team Intermediate skills in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) Work Environment
The role is 100% in-office, located just south of downtown. The office environment is small, quiet, and consists of a close-knit accounting team of five people. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Kansas City, Missouri. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
