Administrative Assistant Customer Experience Team

The City of Fishers is seeking a detail-oriented, self-driven team player to assist residents and visitors with a variety of transactions on the Customer Experience Team. This Full-Time Administrative Assistant will help customers with sewer and stormwater utility payments as well as direct and answer phone calls and assist walk-in guests. This position will report to the Director of Employee and Customer Success and will be part of a Customer Service Team, who also processes permits and records payments and works hard to ensure all customers have a positive experience. Examples Of Duties

Accept utility payments (sewer, stormwater, residential trash removal) Assist with utility start and stop requests Answer questions regarding utility service accounts Provides backup assistance for other positions in Customer Experience and Controllers Office Process utility payments Process occasional additional fees Answer phones and assist visitors Represent the City of Fishers, as a front-facing team member to serve all visitors and residents with superior customer service Project assignments may include a variety of initiatives to serve our residents, visitors, and employees Assist with delivering clear communication and consistent messaging in conjunction with the public relations team to successfully share information Accept, receipt, and account for all money tendered consistent with the City of Fishers internal accounting policies and state law Manage Till and deposits Other duties as assigned. Current example: Assisting to help with various call-taker duties / hotlines or similar phone service duties Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred; Customer Service experience with both face-to-face and telephone interactions required; Must have a positive and friendly attitude to ensure all visitors have an excellent experience during all transactions and communications with the City of Fishers; Accounting experience needed, specifically in balancing cash registers in a business or retail environment; Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail is critical to this role; Ability to quickly learn new skills and technical platforms such as software (ViewPoint Cloud), utility payment software, financial software (Munis), and customer service (SeeClickFix) etc.; Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team; Ability to effectively engage internal and external stakeholders at all levels of leadership is required.
