Swim Lesson Instructor
Come join our team! The City of Fishers is searching for enthusiastic Swim Lesson Instructors to bring welcoming energy to the Fishers Community Center. If you love inspiring swimmers of every age and skill level - and you're all about creating a safe, fun, and empowering experience in the pool - we'd be thrilled to have you join our team! Examples Of Duties
Provide high quality swim instruction to participants of varying ages (toddlers
adults) and ensure that policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed. Plan and prepare for all swim lessons with the goals and abilities of the students in mind and communicate effectively with participants. Educate participants on proper technique and promote swimmer safety. Record and maintain attendance records. Begin and end class on time, remain after class to answer participant and/or parent questions as needed, and clean up supplies. Warn swimmers of improper activities or danger and enforce pool regulations and water safety policies. Perform water rescues, administers proper first aid and/or CPR, if needed. Provide excellent customer service to all patrons by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment. Solicit feedback from participants to continuously improve programs and services. Attend mandatory meetings and coach development in-services as scheduled. Perform duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years of age Must be able to earn a swim instructor certification within six (6) months of hire date. Certification will be provided. Must have an Adult CPR/AED, First Aid certifications or ability to obtain within the first 30 days. Training will be provided. Provide excellent customer service to all patrons and staff. Attend scheduled meetings and training sessions. Perform other duties as assigned. Working At The Community Center
Be a part of history in the City of Fishers! Opening in October 2025, the 105,000sq. ft. Fishers Community Center will offer free amenities to the community including a walking track, large indoor playground, and access to Sahm's Community Caf. It will also have a paid membership model that allows access to 2 indoor pools (including a 2-story waterslide), 3 athletic gyms, a large fitness floor, 2 group exercise studios, 1 cycle studio, childcare, and much more.
