Medical Assistant
As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for stocking rooms, cleaning instruments, and using an autoclave. You will also set up rooms for procedures and conduct patient intake, which includes collecting medical history, recording symptoms, greeting patients, and escorting them to patient rooms. Responsibilities: Stock and maintain cleanliness of examination rooms. Prepare rooms for medical procedures. Conduct patient intake by collecting medical histories and recording symptoms. Greet patients and escort them to examination rooms. Essential Skills: Completion of a Medical Assistant program. Minimum of 1 year of clinical medical assistant experience. Professional communication skills. Customer service ability. Experience in medical assisting, including phlebotomy and taking vital signs. Knowledge of primary care procedures and patient care. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Certification preferred, but not required. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), particularly Eclinical Works (ECW). Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Work Environment: The position is based in a high-volume, fast-paced community health center environment. The role requires working Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm in Peekskill, NY. The center provides comprehensive primary, preventative, and behavioral health services, emphasizing care for the underserved and vulnerable populations. Job Type & Location: This is a position based out of Peekskill, New York. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
