Colmar Contracting, Inc is hiring: Construction Superintendent in Charlotte

We are seeking energetic, self- starting construction superintendent for multi-family projects in Greensboro, NC area & surrounding areas (3 hour travel distance). Candidate must have 7+ years experience in the multi-family construction industry, reliable transportation & be willing to travel out of town on projects if necessary.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable overseeing the entire operation of the construction site. They should be able to determine and address any risk areas in order to maintain the safety of workers. This candidate should be experienced in communicating project milestones with clients, other parties, and be able to establish a timeline for completion.

Responsibilities

•  Multifamily and/or commercial experience
• Ensure safety, compliance and quality regulations are followed
• Communicate project progress with clients and project managers
• Ensure layout, materials and trouble shoot site conditions
• Manage vendors to ensure the job is completed on time and on budget
• Ability to identify a problem and solve it before it becomes a problem
• Constructing billing sheets, change orders, purchase orders
• Able to mentor other team members

Qualifications

•  5-10 years as multifamily and/or commercial Superintendent with strong project management experience
•  Excellent communication skills
•  Ability to read construction documents
•  Familiarity with regulatory construction standards
•  OSHA 10 & 30 certification
•  Self-starter who wants to work for a family run general contractor, not a large corporate general contractor
